Flights of Fantasy Pirate Ships
We are a family company owned by myself, Russell Bowlby. Being fortunate enough to have four children, I am a traditional family man and skilled craftsman and a designer of high quality children's playhouses and theme play equipment using traditional methods of joinery.
With a previous 30 years experience restoring listed buildings, with our own joinery shop fulfilling all of our specialist needs, we have collectively generations of practical experience in timber construction, coupled with the experience of building play equipment for the last 21 years.
The original design from Flights of Fantasy was the two storey, crooked timber framed Tudor Cottage constructed over twenty years ago by myself. Since then the collection has grown to include a large portfolio of bespoke constructions and playground equipment, many of which can be viewed on this website.
Our play equipment is a world away from the ''button pushing, joystick waggling'', world of computer games. We have returned to the traditional values of role play, imagination and vigorous activity - sometimes a little noisy, but exhilarating.
We provide a full design, budget, build and installation service. Whether you are considering a new play tower or children's playhouse for your garden or a complex children's playground for your business we can work with you at every stage. We also provide a wide range of after sales services.
