Merlin’s Adventure Playground, Heatherton World of Activities

This richly themed play area provides children the opportunity to become a Knight of the Round Table, all within a mid-range budget.

The castle is constructed from Larch sawn at our own Norfolk Sawmill, and features alongside hop-logs, stilt posts, boardwalks, a tangle climb, towers, rope bridges and a slide pole to complement the noble castle.

We are always fond of our craft in Pembrokeshire, having worked with a number of clients in the area, and this and feel it is a home away from home for our teams.

After a first site visit, we began as ever with an initial sketch to create a proposal to suit our client’s needs, then worked tirelessly to complete the project in time to be relished over the school holidays.

We are immensely proud of our team and the final outcome we achieved, providing an immersive play experience with truly unique apparatus.

Follow the shield themed hop-logs and you will discover a sword in the stone, which cannot be pulled out even by the strongest aspiring king.

This attraction is free for all to play on at Heatherton and is yet another exciting addition to a venue that offers huge fun and family entertainment.

We are proud to have exclusively used FSC-sourced larch and sweet chestnut on this structure, all of which has been milled at our very own sawmill based in Norfolk. This has allowed us to construct such an encapsulating project whilst ensuring our impeccable eco-friendly standards and maintaining our support of UK woodland management.

Even down to the wood chippings, all the timber used on this project has been produced in-house from grade A UK timber.
